The scientist who invented the original KIDS system used in the infamous Kensington Experiment. He appears briefly in Layer 06 to discuss his findings with Lain. Lain strongly disapproves of his actions.
He may have been named after Australian spiritualist Richard Hodgson. His appearance is not dissimilar to that of William James. Then again, these could just be complete coincidences.
