Would it be OK to make articles like Los Angeles as a more permanent space to refer to and a resource hub when planning meetups of Lain fans? We have threads like this but they're ephemeral and in any case people from different regions are all mixed up together so it's not much of a help. Kind of like https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Meetup/LA or https://geohashing.site/geohashing/Los_Angeles,_California only for the Lain community.--Quintuplicate (talk) 16:49, 13 March 2022 (UTC)

I don't think this is the place for planning events - that would should happen in the community that is doing the event. I also don't think making an article for the location would be the right way to handle reporting the event. Instead, I think if meetups happen that are notable, the appropriate place would be on an article about the entity doing the meeting; so in this case, lainchan.
