Over the years, there have been a number of websites officially associated with the Serial Experiments Lain series.

Websites listed here are no longer active, but may have previously held Lain-related content before URL changes, etc. Many can still be viewed using the Internet Archive.

The Lain anime and game websites used to be hosted on the pldc.co.jp domain, which was the website of Pioneer LDC[1]. In 2003, Pioneer LDC was acquired by Dentsu and renamed to Geneon Entertainment. With the merger and re-naming, Geneon also started a new website, geneon-ent.co.jp, which became the new home of Lain on the internet.

Despite the move to Geneon's website, the now-inactive Pioneer LDC website remained available until May of 2009.[1] This date coincides closely with the merger of Pioneer LDC/Geneon Entertainment with NBC Universal Pictures Entertainment.[2] This likely lead to the permanent closure of Pioneer LDC's website.

The new Geneon Entertainment website listed the Lain anime and game within the RONDO ROBE section of the website. This designation has persisted, with the latest NBC Universal website still using "rondorobe" in the URL path for Lain.
