Yamamoto Reika is one of Lain's three known friends at school. Reika's other friends include Kato Juri and Mizuki Alice.

Origins of the character
The prototype for Lain's friends in the anime is the protagonists of Chiaki J. Konaka's Alice in Cyberland. Reika is most closely analogous to Reina.
