Lain's old navi
There are several references to Apple Inc. and their products in the anime. Most of the effects were created on Macintosh computers and the series writer Chiaki J. Konaka is a fan of their products.
Alice's NAVI is based on the iMac G3. Lain's old NAVI is based on the 20th anniversary Mac. The HandiNavi is based on the Apple Newton.
