The scientist who invented the original [[KIDS]] system used in the infamous Kensington Experiment. He appears briefly in [[Layer 06]] to discuss his findings with [[Lain]]. Lain strongly disapproves of his actions.

The scientist who invented the original [[KIDS]] system used in the infamous Kensington Experiment. He appears briefly in [[Layer 06]] to discuss his findings with [[Lain]]. Lain strongly disapproves of his actions.

He may have been named after Australian spiritualist [http://adb.anu.edu.au/biography/hodgson-richard-3777 Richard Hodgson.] His appearance is not dissimilar to that of [[Wikipedia:Parapsychology|William James]]. Then again, these could just be complete coincidences.

 

The creators of SEL may have designed him with early [[Wikipedia:Parapsychology|parapsychologists]] in mind. He shares a name with Australian spiritualist [http://adb.anu.edu.au/biography/hodgson-richard-3777 Richard Hodgson.] Also, his face bears a resemblance to that of [[Wikipedia:William_James|William James]].
