In the scene that follows, [[Alice]], [[Juri]], and [[Reika]] are having a conversation at [[school]] about a recent rash of suicides among high school students. They mention one student in particular who had jumped off the roof his apartment building. When they try to tell [[Lain]] about the news, she responds that she has already heard about it, on the [[Wired]].
Later that day in [[Shibuya]], in response to Alice's questions, Lain further expounds that all the dead students had been hooked on some kind of [[PHANTOMa|game]].
